Create Your Own Way // Today was another one of those "pinch me, is this real?" moments in work-at-home-mom life. Unexpected snow meant hitting the pause button on work to enjoy it with my kiddo. ⁣⁠⠀

NOT every day is like this and being a wahm has its fair share of challenges, but today was one of the sweet ones.⁣⁠⠀

This guy is convinced that fly swatters make the best snow toys. I was gathering a few things for him to take outside-- dump truck, buckets, sand rake... nope! ⁣⁠⠀

Fly swatters. He used his imagination and came up with a dozen ways to play with them. He was so stinkin' happy!⁣⁠⠀

I hope he always has this sense of adventure and confidence. I hope he always looks for the creative solution. I hope I can continue to encourage his independence and also survive raising him. ;)⁣⁠⠀

Small Moments // My husband wearing the floral baby carrier to take Charlotte on adventures is pretty much the best. He wanted to see the Apollo 11 exhibit, which was in its final days nearby in Cincinnati, so they made the trip together. ⁣⁠⠀

It left me with just one kiddo, which meant a mommy-son date of our own. Then I was able to knock out some work in my office while Carter played, something that's more challenging with Miss Charlotte around these days.⁣⁠⠀

Ryan could have left both kiddos with me, but aside from the fact that I would have given him serious death glares, he WANTS to do things like this with his kids. Charlotte was more than happy to tag along. ⁣⁠⠀
⁣⁠⠀
I've said it before and I'll say it again... this season of life is HECTIC. He's in the last 1.5 years of a ten year plastic surgery training journey. I'm growing my own small business and expanding my services. Our kiddos are little and not in school yet. It's allll a juggle.⁣⁠⠀
⁣⁠⠀
A season like this will teach you. Challenge you. REWARD you. You learn to make time for what matters, give a whole lot of grace, and enjoy as much of the journey as you can. I'm learning to be more flexible, fight my perfectionism, and really make the small moments count.⁣⁠⠀

Watching this little lady explore has been such a lesson in life. Her personality is fascinating. She is completely fearless {hopefully we work on that} and dives in to everything full force. She is rarely content to just sit back and watch. She certainly makes her voice heard. ⁣⁠⠀

Here's to being a little more like Charlotte... jumping right in, figuring it out as you go, learning something each time you fall down and smack your face, and somehow having the courage to get back up and go at it again.⁣⁠⠀
